Developing Taoyuan City as a friendly environment for filmmaking is the core mission of the Film Assistance and Development Center. Our center works to provide a professional filmmaking service platform as well as to connect all filming resources in Taoyuan City during the film production period. In addition, our long-term goals are for filmmaking-related industries to invest in Taoyuan and also choose Taoyuan City as a base for the film industry.
Opened in November 2021,the 1895 War Memorial Park evokes the general public’s memories of the Japanese Invasion of Taiwan and conveys the Hakka spirit of righteousness through its landscape planning. The Ring of Yiwei Memorial Exhibition Hall is by the semicircular building on the left side of the park, which displays the history and historic documents of the wars in digital form. Viewers can interactively learn more about historical memories through the exhibition, while also experiencing the Hakka people’s courage in defending their hometown.
Opened in March 2022, Conch Plaza features marine Hakka culture. The design of the main building, Conch Hall, was inspired by the curved lines of a conch, while the landscape art in the courtyard is inspired by the sound of Hakka conch blowing. The design of the auxiliary building next to the main building is blended with the concept of Hakka fish farming. The overall architectural design is full of Hakka marine influence.
The bridge spans over a length of 330 meters with 13 abutments. It was designed with Baroque-style archway located at its entrance with red tiles. It is also equipped with benches for resting area. The bridge crosses the Dahan River.
The Yongan Seaview Bridge spans the north and south sides of Yongan Fishing Harbor. It combines elements such as blue shirts and gray and white to highlight the characteristics of the country's first Hakka fishing harbor.
The Rainbow Bridge spans the estuary of Nankan River and serves both transportation and sightseeing functions. From the bridge, you can overlook the boats entering and exiting the fishing harbor and the beautiful sunset. It has become a famous landmark of Zhuwei Fishing Harbor.
Sianguang 2nd Village was built in 1968. It is the only military police military village in Taoyuan. It retains the style of bungalows and apartments, showing the ordinary and simple appearance of a traditional military dependents' village. It has become a filming location for many film and television works.
Taiwu New Village was built in 1964 and named after Kinmen's landmark "Taiwu Mountain". It is made of reinforced concrete. The double-story modern house is one of the few remaining Type A military village houses in Taoyuan City.
Matsu New Village was built in 1957. It has an American garden house style. In the past, officers of the general, colonel and lieutenant levels gathered there, so it was known as the General Village. In 2012, it was selected by the Ministry of National Defense as one of the 13 military village cultural preservation parks in Taiwan.
